Updates have been provided on two of Nevis’ most recent fire incidents.

Over two (2) months ago, an arson incident occurred on Monday, August 17^th here on the island, in which four (4) motor vessels belonging to Wincent Perkins of Newcastle, were damaged by fire. 

Most recently, one of the vehicles of local air-conditioning company, ‘The Finished Touch’ was damaged by fire on Wednesday, October 21^st.

Concerning a fire incident that occurred at the landfill here on the island on Wednesday, September 2^nd, General Manager of the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA), Mr. Andrew Hendrickson, told the VONNEWSLINE earlier this month, “We’re still awaiting a report on the matter from the Nevis Fire Department. That matter is still being worked on.”
