Team Nevis won the 52nd Leeward Islands Debating Competition (LIDC) over the weekend, making it a record 12th time the team has won the event.

In the final on Sunday evening (Mar. 3rd), it was Nevis against St. Kitts. Team Nevis was represented by Miss Mikaela Maynard (leader) and 2nd speaker Mr. Jeran Webb.

In the end, the team was declared the winner with Miss Maynard being awarded the Best Speaker. Here is one of the judges at the event:
