New 250,000 gallon water tank commissioned in Pond Hill

On Monday March 13th, a new 250,000 gallon water tank was commissioned at Pond Hill, Gingerland.

Present at the commissioning of the water tank were Minister responsible for Water Services, Hon. Spencer Brand; Deputy Premier and area representative for St. George – Gingerland, Hon. Eric Evelyn and members of the Department of Water Services in the Nevis Island Administration.

This new Glass Fuse Aquastore Water Tank replaces the previous leaking fibre glass tank that provided water to the communities in the area, according to Minister Brand.

Hon. Eric Evelyn in response to the newly installed tank stated that “the public will see activities at Zetlands in the near future as the NIA continue its water storage program which will store water obtained from one of its larger water wells at Fothergills Estate.”
