“Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health”

That’s the theme for this year’s observance of International Nurses Day.

Additionally, this week is observed as Nurses Week.

Nurses Week is an annual celebration to showcase the role of nurses and to help raise the profile of the nursing profession.

May 12^th of every year is observed as International Nurses Day, which is spearheaded by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) since 1971 and marks the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

Junior Minister of Health here on Nevis, the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams in an address to mark the occasion, said Nurses continue to play a significant role.
