Occupants of plane crash origin from RLB Airport rescued

The St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) confirms that an Aircraft which departed the RLB International Airport in St. Kitts for the Turks and Caicos Islands on Tuesday morning made an emergency water landing at about 11a.m. off Salt Cay.

 

 

 

SCASPA is pleased to report to the public that about 3:30pm on the same day, four occupants; three of whom are Nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis and the other from Costa Rica were found alive and well.

The four occupants of the Cesna Aircraft were rescued by a local fisherman, Mr. Kellison Talbot and were taken to the Grand Turks for medical attention.

 

 

 

Searches were conducted by officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, along with officials from the Department of Disaster Management and Emergencies, the Fire Department, and Emergency Services were engaged in a search and rescue operation off the coast of Grand Turk.
