Elected Member of Parliament for St. Christopher #2, Jonel Powell has expressed his delight in winning the St. Christopher #2 seat, four (4) days after St. Kitts and Nevis’ General Elections on June 5th.
Mr. Powell was a Candidate for the People’s Action Movement (PAM) Party.
On Tuesday, he said he intends to serve all the people, irrespective of their political affiliations.
Mr. Powell’s opponent was Marcella Liburd, who was the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP’s) Candidate for the constituency of St. Christopher #2 and Area representative for 10 years.
Mr. Powell won the Constituency with a total of 1,654 votes.
Ms. Liburd received 1,422 votes. Taking into account the aforementioned, Mr. Powell extended “best wishes” to Ms. Liburd.
