Monday, February 6th was the 1st disbursement of the Poverty Alleviation Program for 2023, Federal Minister of Social Development and Gender Affairs, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, released an update on the program.
In the government’s promise to provide a “robust social protection system”, the Labour party administration has taken time over the past few months to revamp PAP which included a re-registration process for existing members of the program and an opportunity for new persons to apply.
According to Minister Hanley, the essential process along with a number of new objectives to the program is all apart of efforts geared to meeting the needs of the poor and vulnerable in the federation’s society.
