Patient located and under care at JNF General Hospital following missing person report

“The management of JNF General Hospital is pleased to inform the public that the patient involved in the recent incident has been found and is currently undergoing a thorough medical examination at our facility” so says the Ministry of Health-(MOH) St. Kitts in a statement.

Earlier on Wednesday Nov. 13th, reports circulated on social media about a man reported missing from the hospital. Later that afternoon, the management of JNF General Hospital confirmed that “the incident involved an adult male patient who has left the facility without authorization.”

Questions still remain as to how he left the hospital. Later that afternoon (Wednesday), a police spokesperson told the VONNEWSLINE that Kevonta Hanley “was located alive in the Frigate Bay area. He was shortly thereafter transported to the JNF Hospital by officers of the Special Services Unit (SSU)”. MOH stated it “is committed to providing full support to the patient and their family during this time.”

Meantime, Jerome Williams, a resident at the Cardin Home or called colloquially (the Infirmary), was reported missing but was located and returned earlier on Wednesday.
