Payment under 2nd stimulus package to commence in last week of July

That was Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Timothy Harris.

He was speaking in relation to the 2^nd stimulus package, which is to the tune of $15 million. In 2020, the Federal Government introduced a $120 million stimulus package to help those negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Federal Government announced the package on Thursday July 8^th.

The Income Support Program (or Stimulus package) is primarily geared at augmenting support for citizens who are unemployed and have not worked from March 2020, owners of passenger buses who have been negatively impacted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic (a $400 Fuel Subsidy Program has been implemented) and small business owners.

Forms under the program are ready and the completed forms should be returned to the Ministry of Social Development.
