Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Terrance Drew, travelled with a
small delegation to Washington, DC, on Tuesday April 11th for the World Bank
Spring Meetings 2023.

Attending the meetings with the Prime Minister are Permanent Secretary, Ms.
Naeemah Hazelle and Director of Fiscal Affairs and Policy in the Ministry of
Finance, Mrs. Versilie Francis. The activities will conclude on Sunday, April 16th.

The World Bank Group’s (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF)
Spring Meetings of the Boards of Governors bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, legislators, business executives and members of civil society organizations. While in Washington, DC the Prime Minister will be hosting a Diaspora Meeting with Kittitian and Nevisian nationals on Saturday April 15th.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Drew will travel to Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday
16 th April for the CARICOM Symposium on Crime and Violence in his capacity as
Minister of National Security. Hon. Konris Maynard has been appointed Acting Prime Minister in his absence.
