Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, laid before the National Assembly the Appropriation (2020) Bill, 2019, today Dec. 12^th, which is to the tune of about EC$848.9 million dollars for the fiscal year 2020.

The Appropriation (2020) Bill, 2019, is a Bill to provide for the services of St. Christopher and Nevis for the financial year commencing Jan. 1^st 2020 and ending on Dec. 31^st 2020.

The Ministry of Finance will receive the largest amount of the budget, EC$272.5 million dollars.

The Ministry of National Security will receive EC$99.2 million dollars, the 2^nd largest amount and the largest amount to date, to ever be given to the National Security Ministry.

This is also the 5^th consecutive year that the Team Unity administration has introduced a tax free Budget. The Budget Debate commences tomorrow (Dec. 13^th).
