The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is advising motorists to remove excess license stickers from their vehicle windscreens, warning that the build-up of multiple stickers can pose a serious road safety risk.

According to the Police Force, the accumulation of stickers can create a visual obstruction zone, particularly when drivers are checking for pedestrians, cyclists, or approaching vehicles, especially from the left side or while navigating intersections.

The advisory notes that this obstruction may interfere with a driver’s normal field of vision and reduce the ability to detect hazards quickly and safely.

Police also pointed out that the presence of several stickers can make it more difficult for law enforcement officers to quickly verify valid vehicle licenses during roadside checks, potentially leading to unnecessary delays.

Motorists are therefore being reminded that, as a general standard, only the current license sticker should be displayed on the windscreen at any given time.

The police shared that the measure is part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and visibility for all road users and responsible driving practices across the Federation.
