Police investigates road accident which led to Ross University student sustaining extensive injuries
The Police are investigating a traffic accident that occurred at about 2:25pm on Friday, along the Island’s Main Road outside of Ross University in St. Kitts.
The accident involved motor omnibus HA438 driven by Glenroy Richards of Sandy Point, and motor scooter P8009 driven by a student of Ross University, Johanna Schneider of Atlanta Georgia (USA) who resides at Boyds Village.
The circumstances as ascertained from the police revealed that the bus was traveling from the direction of Basseterre and stopped outside the school when the scooter collided to its rear.
Both vehicles were damaged. Videos circulating showed that the cyclist sustained extensive injuries to her right leg and was taken to the JNF Hospital by the EMS, where she was treated and warded in stable condition.
