Police investigating Carty Alley wounding incident, one woman nursing wounds at JNF

A wounding incident that occurred between 10am and 11am on February 21st, at Carty Alley in Newtown, St. Kitts is being investigated, police say.

 

 

 

Initial investigations indicate that sixty (60)-year-old Elminda Martinez Gomez, a Venezuelan national resident in St. Kitts, sustained multiple stabbing injuries during an altercation. Ms. Gomez was transported to the JNF General Hospital shortly thereafter, where she underwent emergency surgery. She is currently warded in stable condition.

 

 

 

The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force processed the crime scene and collected some items of evidential value.

 

 

 

An investigation is ongoing and the general public will be kept appropriately abreast of its developments.
