Lawmen have told the VONNEWSLINE that they are “seeking assistance with the circulation of a clip from security footage of the homicide committed at the Basseterre Ferry Terminal, on April 6th”. This has made rounds on social media.

This was the Federation’s 7th murder for 2024.

The fatal shooting incident took place between the hours of 11:30PM on Saturday April 6th and 12AM on Sunday April 7th.

Responding to reports, lawmen observed thirty-three year-old Alex Harris of Challengers Village, St. Kitts, sitting motionless in a chair. Initial investigations indicate that Mr. Harris was shot by a single armed assailant. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This incident was one of two incidents that occurred during the aforementioned period (April 6th to the 7th). Persons with any information can contact the nearest Police station or call the Crime Stoppers’ hotline, 707, to report anonymously.
