Premier of Nevis to attend coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla
Premier of Nevis to attend coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla
Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley, will be absent from the federation, in order to attend the Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort in London.
A Coronation is the ceremony at which a king or queen is crowned.
This is according to an advisory from the Premier’s Ministry in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA).
Mr. Brantley will be absent for the period May 3rd to 11th, 2023. During this period the Hon. Eric Evelyn will assume the responsibility of Premier.
King Charles’ Coronation comes following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. She reigned for over 70 years and was the longest of any British Monarch and the longest verified reign of any female head of state in history.
