Amidst the announcement from the Ministry of Health-St. Kitts, of an outbreak of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease in the early childhood sector, the Department of Education, Nevis has temporarily closed two schools.

The Inez France Pre-school and Combermere Pre-School are temporarily closed until (today) Monday January 27^th. “During the closure, the schools will undergo the recommended deep cleaning and sanitization practices to ensure that we can safely welcome back our healthy students on Tuesday January 28^th 2025.” the department said in a release.
