President of the Nevis’ Nurses Association (NNA), Simone Harris has named the Nurse of the Year 2020, as part of the Association’s Nurses Week of activities.

Nurses Week is an annual celebration to showcase the role of nurses and to help raise the profile of the nursing profession.

Last week, International Nurses Day was observed on May 12^th and marks the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

Nurses Day was held under the theme, “Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health”.

Nurses Week was held from May 11^th to the 17^th, 2020.
