Prime Minister addresses concerns on Nevis receiving “fair share” from CBI revenue
Prime Minister addresses concerns on Nevis receiving “fair share” from CBI revenue
Are negotiations continuing for an equitable amount of revenue from the CBI programme for Nevis? This question was posed to the Prime Minister during his first Press Conference for the year alongside the rest of the federal cabinet on January 18th, 2023.
An inquiry was also put forward about whether the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party led administration would follow in the footsteps of the previous Unity led government, who pledged Nevis would receive $60 million from the CBI revenue on an annual basis.
In response, Minister Drew said his government had already started the process on getting all concerns and issues on equity regarding the program between the two islands readily resolved.
