His remarks came as the St. Kitts & Nevis joined the world in observance of International Day of Older Persons.
It is celebrated annually on October 1st and the year 2021 marks the 31st anniversary of the day. The day is celebrated by raising awareness about issues affecting the elderly and to appreciate the contributions that older people make to society.
This year’s theme is “Digital Equity for All Ages”.
The Ministry of Social Services will hold a number of activities which include but are not limited to: a radio program dubbed “Footprints” on Tuesday Oct. 5th and every Tuesday during the month and Wednesday Oct. 6th and every Wednesday in October, a special outreach to honour a number of seniors.
