Tuesday, September 15th, 2020 marked the 10th Anniversary of the death of Alphonsus “King Arrow” Cassell and the Alliougana Singers (the Group) marked the occasion by having songs of Arrow played here on VON Radio (between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm).
Alphonsus Cassell MBE (stage name Arrow) passed away on September 15th 2010.
He was a Montserratian Calypso and Soca musician, regarded as the first superstar of Soca from Montserrat.

The Alliougana Singers is a London-based Choral group, comprised of Montserratians who relocated to the UK.
Author of a book entitled “Tamarind Seeds” and Friend of Arrow’s, Myrle Roach, gave us this comment.
