Minister with responsibility for Water Services on Nevis, Spencer Brand. He made the announcement as he updated the Nevisian public on the Nevis Island Administration’s (NIA) Exploration of Water.
Earlier in November, Minister Brand mentioned that the NIA is in the advanced stages of plans to drill an initial three wells to increase the supply of potable water to the people of Nevis. NIA plans to drill six wells in total, for this project. The Government is hoping that by the end of the 2nd quarter of 2024, that drilling will be completed for the first three wells. The project will cost over EC $5 million.
