Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many persons here in St. Kitts & Nevis, lost their jobs in the Tourism and Hospitality sector and had to claim Severance monies.
With regards to persons who have claimed, been approved and/or pending, Minister of Labour here on Nevis, the Hon. Spencer Brand, provided some statistics and said it is a painful area the department has to deal with on a day-to-day basis:
