SKN Carnival Committee welcomes its new Director

Mr. Clement Ogarro also known as “Monarch” has been appointed the new Director of Carnival, according to the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC).

 

 

 

A press release that was sent by the committee states that Mr. Ogarro is a celebrated figure in the carnival community, known for his remarkable four (4) victories in the Junior Calypso Competition and multiple selections as a finalist in the Senior Calypso Competition.

 

 

 

In addition to his success in calypso, he has a rich history as a Jouvert and Parade Day Masquerader.

 

 

 

Mr. Ogarro’s passion for the carnival arts also extends beyond performance as he also played pivotal roles as an organizer, judge,commentator and host.

 

 

 

The new director holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.

 

 

 

He has assisted with the rebranding of St. Kitts-Nevis Carnival to Sugar Mas while playing a pivotal role as the Public Relations Officer for Sugar Mas 51.

 

 

 

The release also states that the National Carnival of St. Kitts-Nevis showcases the fusion of music, dance and elaborate costumes, attracting participants and spectators from around the world.
