The Stapleton Police Senior Service in St. Kitts, joined in the celebration of the Month of Older Persons, as they treated two seniors in their district.

Although celebrated in October, the post celebratory initiative saw Officers of the Stapleton Police Station delivering a food hamper and a fruit basket to two residents. Previously, eight others had their feet cared for by two businesses in the community.

Sergeant with responsibility for the Stapleton Police Station, Sergeant Charmaine Audain, explained that the idea for the initiative stemmed from the success of their Mother’s Day efforts. The sergeant also spoke on the collaboration established with the family and caretakers of the seniors to ensure the undertaking was a success.

Officers at the Stapleton Police Station launched the Stapleton Police Senior Service in 2020 as part of their outreach programme when Officers had observed during their patrols that some elderly persons in the area lived alone.
