SKN celebrates Fire Fighters during week of activities surrounding International Firefighters Day

On Tuesday, May 3^rd 2022, the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services held a drill at the D.R. Walwyn Plaza on Nevis.

This activity is part of a week of activates that commenced on Sunday, May 1^st, 2022 commemorating International Firefighters Day which will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 4^th, 2022.

On this date, according to firefightersday.org, firefighters who have died while serving their Community or have dedicated their lives to protecting the safety are honoured.

At the same time appreciation is shown to acting firefighters worldwide who continue to protect and serve.

Activities to be held for the remainder of the week include: a Fire Run through- Basseterre Open day in St. Kitts on Wednesday; a cricket match at the ETW Park on Nevis, on Thursday – a Drill Competition in St. Kitts on Friday and a Sports/ Fun Day on Saturday, May 7^th, 2022.
