SKN COVID-19 Tracking application is ready to be launched

The St. Kitts and Nevis COVID-19 tracking application (app) is ready to be launched ahead of the re-opening of the country’s borders, according to Chief Medical Officer – Dr. Hazel Laws.

Dr. Laws informed the public on Wednesday, October 8th that the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, is in the process of putting the necessary legal framework in place for the mandatory implementation of the new COVID-19 tracking application for persons entering the Federation.

Once launched, all incoming travelers would be required to upload the National COVID-19 Mobile Application on their cellular devices.

Dr. Laws explains the procedure each traveler will undergo upon entry into the federation:

The clinical feature in the app would allow for sick or infected persons to report their symptoms and, they in turn, would receive a check-up from health officials.

This will allow for easy contact tracing by health officials.
