SKN pays homage to fallen soldiers in National Day of Remembrance
The National Day of Remembrance was acknowledged in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on Sunday, November 12th, 2023.
The day in question is in remembrance of those who gave their lives in World Wars I and II from 1914 to 1918 and 1939 to 1945 respectively.
Both islands paid their respects to the fallen soldiers with Remembrance Services.
On Nevis, the service was held at the Memorial Square in Charlestown while the proceedings in St. Kitts took place at the Cenotaph in Fortlands, Basseterre.
Both events were attended by ministers of cabinet, government officials and other dignitaries, members of the armed forces, uniformed bodies, and families of the fallen soldiers. The service also included the customary laying of wreaths.
