SKN records additional case of Covid-19, the 6th in 7 days

The Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis recorded an additional case of Covid-19 on Friday Dec. 11th, a release from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) says.

 

The release mentioned that the international traveler landed in St Kitts on November 25th, from the United States of America (USA) and has been in quarantine at one of the COVID-19 certified hotels, since arrival into the Federation.

 

The patient was duly notified and is in isolation. The last four cases are members of one family unit. This additional case brings the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases to 28: 18 cases in St. Kitts and 10 cases on Nevis.

 

On Wednesday Dec. 9th and Thursday Dec. 10th, SKN recorded 2 cases of the disease (1 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday). Prior to that, on Friday Dec. 4th, the Federation recorded three (3) cases. In essence, SKN recorded six (6) cases in seven days, taking the total to 28 confirmed cases.

 

Despite the additional case on Dec. 11th, 24 cases have fully recovered, while four (4) are active cases and there are zero (0) deaths.
