SKN surpasses the 10,000 Vaccination threshold

The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis (SKN) has surpassed 10,000 Vaccinations.  

As at April 8th 2021, the Federal Ministry of Health reported that 10,209 citizens and residents have received their first doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccine. 

 

Of this total number: 7,660 received the Vaccine from St. Kitts and 2,549 received from Nevis.  

  

According to recommendations from the developers of the Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccine, two shots must be administered 8 to 12 weeks apart for an individual to be considered fully inoculated, against COVID-19.   

On February 13th 2021, Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, announced that SKN received 2,000 Vaccines from the Republic of Dominica, the first shipment of Vaccines to the federation which was used to initiate the vaccine campaigns.

Then on March 1st 2021, SKN received 20,000 Vaccines from the Republic of India and 21,600 Vaccines from the COVAX Facility on April 7th, 2021.
