SKN’s SW Tapley Seaton and Dr. Henry Browne honoured, as UWI’s inaugural class celebrated

Thursday March 28th 2024, saw St. Kitts & Nevis’ former Governor General, the late Sir S.W Tapley Seaton (deceased) and Dr. Henry Browne KC, being recognized for their pioneering contributions to the legal profession.

They were honoured during a ceremony, hosted by the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus (Barbados) as UWI celebrated the legacy of its first graduating class from the Faculty of Law in 1973 (about 50 years ago). Among the attendees was Her Excellency the Most Hon. Dame Sandra Mason, President of Barbados.

UWI said “the Class of 1973 is credited with groundbreaking contributions that not only shaped the legal landscape of the Caribbean but have also left a lasting impact beyond its borders.” Here is Mrs. Eileen Boxel, performing a role call for some of the members of the 1973 class (those that are deceased).
