A Special Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Independence, is slated for Thursday September 28th. This will be held at the Nevis Island Assembly Chambers, Hamilton House, at 10am.

Based on the Order Paper, there will be the formal entry of President of the Assembly, Prayers, Motion for the approval of the Order Paper as circulated, Messages from the Deputy Governor-General and Announcements by the President.

Then brief Remarks from Nominated Members of Parliament (MP’s) the Honourables M. Jahnel Nisbett, U. Troy Liburd, followed by remarks from the Hon. Cleone Stapleton-Simmonds, the Hon. Spencer Brand, the Hon. Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge, Deputy Premier the Hon. Eric Evelyn, former Premier the Hon. Joseph Parry and current Premier the Hon. Dr. Mark Brantley.
