St. Kitts and Nevis has climbed to 21^st place globally for passport strength, according to the latest Henley & Partners Global Passport Ranking Index, reflecting continued progress in expanding international mobility for its citizens.

The ranking marks a notable improvement from 2006, when the twin-island federation was placed 40^th worldwide. Over the past two decades, St. Kitts and Nevis has strengthened its passport standing through expanded diplomatic relations and greater global access.

The Henley Passport Index evaluates 199 passports and 227 destinations, measuring access through visa-free entry, visas on arrival, and other approved travel arrangements. Citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis currently have access to 155 destinations, including Europe’s Schengen Area.

Updated monthly, the index previously ranked the federation’s passport 23^rd earlier in 2026, representing a two-position rise by July. The rankings are compiled using data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and highlight global differences in passport power, with Singapore ranking first and Afghanistan last.
