Karisia Willett alias “Miss Independent” of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Andrew Nisbett also known as “King Hollywood”, were two of the eight (8) contestants that participated in the Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch on the evening of Saturday August 12th.

In the end, Keithroy “De Bear” Morson also known as “De Voice” of Montserrat won the event, with his performance of “Don’t Wake De Bear”, dethroning Anguilla’s defending monarch Roxanne “Queen Roxxy” Webster.

1st runner up went to Roxxy (Anguilla) and 2nd runner up – Young Destroyer (Antigua).

Other islands which were represented at the competition included: St Croix, Antigua, St Thomas and Sint Maarten.
