Thirteen students recipients of the Susanna Lee High School Scholarship  

A group of students from the various high schools and secondary schools across St. Kitts and Nevis have been awarded the Susanna Lee High School Scholarship.

 

 

 

The initiative which forms part of The Christopher and Nevis Social Security Board Scholarship Programme coincides with its 45th Anniversary Celebrations. Thirteen students were awarded during a ceremony on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at the E. St. John Payne Annex Building in St. Kitts.

 

 

 

Present at the proceeding was Prime Minister and Minister with responsibility for Social Security, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew who congratulated the students and commended them on their hardwork. During his address, Minister Drew said quote: “I urge you to take advantage of every convenience afforded to you through this programme. Use it as an asset to building your resume, character and discipline. Be intentional” end quote.

 

 

 

 

The awardees in question were students of the Charles E. Mills Secondary, Basseterre High, Washington Archibald High, Verchilds High, Cayon High and Saddlers Secondary School in St. Kitts and the Gingerland and Charlestown Secondary Schools on Nevis.

 

 

 

Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister with responsibility for Education et al, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Lisa Archibald-Pistana and Chair of the Social Security Board, Mrs. Janet Harris.
