Tropical Cyclone activity for September was “very busy”, sets record for most named storms forming in a month

With just approximately 54 more days left until the official end of the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season, Director of the Nevis Disaster Management Department (NDMD), Mr. Brian Dyer, told the Nevisian public that the month of September was very active.

The Hurricane season peaks in September and after August 20th, 85% of major Hurricanes (category 3 or higher) occur. The season officially ends on November 30^th.

Mr. Dyer made this comment during Monday’s COVID-19 Briefing here on Nevis:
