In keeping with the St. Kitts and Nevis’ Fisheries regulations 2002, the prohibition period for catching turtles in the federation has commenced.
The period began on February 28th, 2023 and will end on October 1st 2023. The catching of turtles within the waters of the federation for selling, disturbing along with the purchase of any turtle and its eggs are prohibited. Additionally, no person should interfere with any turtle nest, or any turtle that is nesting.
