Two convicted with possession of gun and ammunition in St. Kitts
Sylaine Phipps and Tyrique Jones have been convicted for the Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition on April 17th, 2023. Both have been sentenced to serve three (3) years in His Majesty’s Prison on each charge with their sentences set to run concurrently.
This is in relation to a Beretta PX4 Pistol and several rounds of 9mm ammunition being found in Phipps’ bag, during a security check at the entrance of a night spot in Basseterre, St. Kitts, in October 2021.
In addition, Jones, 26, of Wades Garden, was charged by Police for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition in November 2021, which were in relation to the Beretta Pistol and ammunition.
Phipps, 29, of Boyds Village, was charged for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
