Unveiling ceremony for Alexander Hamilton statue is July 22nd

An unveiling ceremony to showcase a statue for Alexander Hamilton, will be held at the Alexander Hamilton Museum, in Charlestown.

Alexander Hamilton was born in Nevis to a Nevisian mother and a Scottish father, and is featured on the US ten dollar bill. This statue will be the only one of its kind on the island which showcases Nevis’ Native Son. Hamilton was instrumental in reshaping the American economy during his appointment as the first secretary of the Treasury.

Director of the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society, Ms. Jahnel Nisbett, gives us more.
