The voice of Dr. Brian Cohen, one of the Urologists that will be working with patients this coming Saturday (January 18th) at the 2025 Prostate Screening exercise, which is headed by Dr. Dwayne Thwaites of Urology Associates.
A Press Conference was held on Thursday (January 16th) where Dr. Cohen further stated that with these annual checkups, the group has seen a significant reduction from 12% to now 2% each year and is encouraging all men in the age group of 40 to 75 to check their prostate. This year, the free screening will be held at a new location, the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park at Pinney’s. Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m.
Also present at the Press Conference was Dr. Daniel Caruso who told the media that they were quite pleased with serving over 600 men in 2024 and is hoping that the number can increase as early detection saves lives.
