Use of Cannabis in the federation discussed by medical practitioners

As the legal use of the cannabis plant (or marijuana) has become a highly prioritized topic in the federation, one of the most prominent questions is “Is the plant fit to be used freely be members of society?

 

 

 

Discussing the pros and cons associated with the use of the plant was a group of medical doctors who brought a number of different views. Points such as cannabis being used strictly for medical purposes and others such as the right of members of the public to use it in the comfort of their homes for recreational purposes, were also discussed.

 

 

 

CEO of the Marijuana Commission, Dr. Garfield Alexander, who was present on the panel spoke on his role in fostering the medicinal cannabis industry in St. Kitts & Nevis for the use of individuals fitting the specific category:
