Wearing of face masks being encouraged, despite Covid-19 inoculation
Although St. Kitts & Nevis commenced the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccination program, the wearing of face masks is still being emphasized and Member of the National Covid-19 Task Force, Superintendent Cromwell Henry, at a Covid-19 briefing on March 10th, stated that masks remain important.

The COVID-19 Prevention and Control (Amendment) Bill, 2021, was passed into law at a National Assembly Sitting on Thursday March 4th. Part Three of the Bill made amendments to Schedule Eight, which speaks to the Fixed Penalty Notice Ticket. The fixed penalty is $100 for persons who are not wearing their masks correctly.
Meantime, Federal Health Minister, the Hon. Akilah Byron-Nisbett, said that for the country to get back to a sense of normalcy, that is, not having to worry about wearing a mask and concerned about being ticketed, persons should consider taking the vaccine.
