Why KAL will replace the “Test of Standards” and “Common Exams” 

Students at the primary school level have not had any formal assessment exams for the transition from primary school to high school in St. Kitts and Nevis since 2020, due to the inefficiency of the old “Test of Standards” and “Common Exams”. 

 

Acting Director of CDU-TRC, Mrs. Amanda Serrant-Edmead explained why the old assessment system will no longer be used:

The Language Arts assessment will be written on the 7th, 8th, and 9th of June with the Mathematics assessment being written on the 14th of June, 2022.
