Work is expected to recommence at the Alexandra Hospital’s wing in the first half of 2024. This was announced by Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley.

The multi-million-dollar project has been under speculation by members of the public due to the delays hampering the completion of the awaiting upgrade in healthcare on the island and by extension, the federation.

According to Minister Brantley, the Nevis Island Administration has acquired the necessary information for the final quantity takeoffs, which has been a factor prolonging the halt in the project.

He also stated that a local committee, guided by the Project Management Unit has been put together and are currently evaluating the acquired information.
