As numerous persons across St. Kitts & Nevis await their “Workers’ Bonus”, the Federal Government has sought to allay the doubts of non-civil servants.

The “Workers’ Bonus” (where persons are to receive EC $500) was one of several initiatives announced by the Prime Minister, during his 2024 budget address.

The Federal Government stated on Facebook, “the distribution of the WORKERS’ BONUS is currently in progress due to the high volume of recipients. This process may take a few days to complete.” It added “we apologize for any inconvenience caused and want to assure all eligible individuals that they will receive their payments.”

Civil servants, Government Auxiliary Employees (GAEs), pensioners and STEP workers were to receive a fifty percent (50%) salary bonus as of Thursday Dec. 21st. This was another initiative announced by the Prime Minister.
