World’s largest cruise liner pays inaugural visit to St. Kitts and Nevis

The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis saw the inaugural visit of the world’s largest cruise liner. The Wonder of the Seas, was welcomed into Port Zante, St. Kitts, on Thursday, November 24th.

 

 

 

The Official greeting was made by Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew, as he presented the customary plaque for inaugural cruise visits, to Captain of the ship, Mr. Henrick Loy.

 

 

 

Prime Minister Drew conveyed his pleasure in the cruise making a call on the federation on its voyage. He invited all passengers and crew members to enjoy all of the destination and to experience the essence of the people and engage in authentic and enriching experiences.

 

He also said the country will look forward to receiving, the Icon of the Seas, the sister vessel of the now largest ship, in 2024 which will surpass Wonder of the Seas in size.

Captain Loy returned the well wishes of Minister Drew and thanked all persons involved in the successful maiden visit to the nation.

Wonder of the Seas brought with it a total of 6495 guests and 2259 crew and is expected to bring a projected passenger capacity of 34,940 passengers for the current cruise season.
