She was providing an update on the Social Security’s CoVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
Here in St. Kitts and Nevis, the Social Security Board began disbursing funds of up to $1000.00, to workers who applied for relief under the Fund, on Monday, April 20th.
Beneficiaries of the fund include: Full time and part-time employees who have been laid off, employed but with reduced hours, persons made redundant as a result of the pandemic and registered Self-employed persons whose income is impacted by the pandemic.
The Relief Fund was created to assist all working persons whose income has been directly affected by the CoVID-19 virus.
Meantime, Ms. Lawrence also gave this information regarding the forms for the Relief Fund.
