With respect to the observance of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on Wednesday (November 25th), Child and Family Psychologist, Dr. June Guishard-Pine and Attorney-at-law, Ms. Rochelle Duncan spoke about a secondary pandemic that is taking place, in the midst of COVID-19 on VON Radio’s Let’s Talk program.
According to the United Nations, the Secondary Pandemic also known as a Shadow Pandemic, seen as increased reports of violence against women and children have been emerging as a result of the COVID-19 mandatory lockdowns and quarantines taking place around the world.
