“How will students, who are transitioning to high school be placed?”

This question comes in the wake of an announcement by Federal Minister of Education, Jonel Powell that “there will be no Test of Standards this year” in St. Kitts-Nevis and in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. 

Mr. Powell in a recent statement to the nation, provided this response:

The Test of Standards is administered annually to all students of grades three to six and is taken at all public and private primary schools in St. Kitts & Nevis.

The Education Minister elaborated on the reasons for the earlier mentioned method:
