Training underway for persons to be better equipped in administration of justice through mediation

A 40-hour Mediation Training is underway in St. Kitts and will see 26 persons from the Federation trained to mediate in conflict resolution.

The training runs from May 17th – 21st of this week and May 25th and 26th of the following week.

Mediation is a private process where a neutral third person called a Mediator helps the parties or persons discuss and tries to resolve a dispute.

According to High Court Registrar, Janine Harris-Lake, 25 persons were trained in Mediation in 2019.

An opening ceremony for the training was held on Monday, May 17^th and Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Vincent Byron Jr. assured those present of the government’s support of the program:
